Learn about Youth and Christian Education

SS Superintendent – Deb Marston
Council Chair – Deb Cowell

Our Vision - is for our youth to grow in their relationship with God and become His hands in service to one another.   In their faith journey, that they become active and faithful Christian citizens with guidance from their church family.

Our Mission - is to invite all youth to be involved in a loving and safwelle Christian environment,  where they can apply the lessons and therefore experience a balance of spiritual, social and servant opportunities for Christ, both in and outside of our church community.

Measures of Success

Loving and Safe Christian Environment:
Children that want to come to Sunday School.
Children that come running to give and receive hugs (sharing the love of Christ).
Children that study and do craft activities that reinforce lessons.
Children that still have their craft activities hanging in their rooms years after being made.
Children who carry their lessons and crafts (from weeks back) into church in Sunday School bags and unpack them during the sermon (sorry to say that, Pastors).
Children outside of our faith family that come back, anxiously, to another Vacation Bible School program.

Application of Social and Servant Opportunities:
Children who learn to love others as they do themselves.
Children who raise money for others that they do not even know, both inside and outside of church.
Children who give their time and talents to show others the love of Christ (into the world).
Children who offer their help to other church members (young and old) for various church activities (VBS, etc.)
Children giving their time to community outreach (Highland Days, Liaison to the Scouts, Food Baskets for the less fortunate during the holidays, etc.)
Children that give selflessly to the Children in Ghana

The Real Success from Our Perspective
The greatest measure of success is that our children blossom as Gods hands and feet in the world.  Our community sees us leading by example as we continue to nurture our youth and help them in their faith journey!
