Who We Are
Pastor Carolyn Shank
Pastor Shank grew up in Brooklyn Park, Maryland just south of Baltimore City. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Towson University (2005). She earned her Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (2009) and was ordained on February 8, 2010. She began at St. Paul's as the Interim Associate in December 2012, and was called as the Associate Pastor in November 2013. Pastor Carolyn's work focuses on youth and family, confirmation, and Christian education. She is a World Hunger leader in the ELCA and hopes to continue working on hunger related issues in the Delaware-Maryland Synod. Married to the Rev. David C. Shank, a Methodist minister, in 2013, the couple have two cats, Belle and Jozie.
Associate Pastor Gerry Rickel
Associate Pastor, Rev. Gerry Rickel (pronounced Gary) will be starting his work here three days a week and one Sunday a month. He is also the Part-time Pastor for the St. Dysmas community.
