Last month I talked about chiller weather of winter – well it appears it is here with temps (with windchills) down into the teens – – – burrrrrrr. I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving and had time to spend with close family and friends. We were very fortunate to have our entire family at home where we enjoyed smoked brisket and turkey.
I want to thank the entire congregation for their support during the recent Congregational Meeting on November 17th. During this meeting the 2025 Church budget was unanimously approved which allows us to continue the work of the Church.
We now set our hearts and minds on the Advent Season and begin to prepare ourselves for the arrival of the Baby Jesus. The first Advent candle has been lit and the greening of the Church will take place this weekend. And then on Friday December 13th a lasagna dinner has been planned with a special visit from a jolly fellow (or so I am told). And of course, we will have our Christmas Eve Services at 4 pm and 7pm. Please plan to join us for these wonderful events.
Please add to your calendars January 5th, 2025; this is when the Chancel Choir will be presenting their “Joy Has Dawned” Cantata, which will be presented during the Sunday worship. The choir has been working on this since the summer and is excited to perform for you.
God Bless
