As I put together this message (and review what was written last month) I believe it is even colder outside! With a snowstorm approaching for Monday (time to pick-up your milk, bread, and toilet paper) it is a great reminder that winter is still here.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful and joyous Christmas and have great plans for the New Year. We were fortunate to have our family together during the holidays where some good news was also bestowed upon us – – our second grandchild will be arriving in August. It is amazing how the birth of a child can bring so much joy into your life, just like the birth of Jesus.
As we start the New Year we want to build on the excitement and energy that has been displayed during the past 12 months. Several new committees are being put together in which we encourage participation from the congregation.
• We are looking to improve and modernize our sanctuary and are looking for what ideas you all may have to make our facility more inviting, and to expand services that we can potentially provide to the community.
• During the Congregation Meeting, in November, there was interest in updating our Church (photo) directory; several people have volunteered to put this together, so we need to provide support in completing this task.
• How do we want our “Technology Ministry” to go; at that start of Covid we moved to ZOOM to ministry to the congregation and have kept this service going ever since. Improvements have been made but we want to understand what more can be done to enhance this ministry. It is the hope that a committee could develop ideas and proposals of these enhancements that can be communicated at the next Congregation Meeting
If you are interested in any of these committees, please speak to someone on Council.
For now, bundle up and stay warm, we will see you at church.
God Bless
