Well, it is Christmas Eve as I write this article. I hope everyone was well, safe, happy and with their loved ones, even if only spirit. This month I want to share a donation from Charles and Judy Iager to the Archive. A Christmas Bell that Carolyn Frost gave Mark Iager in 1989.
I seem to remember that oranges and Bible Comics were given out to the students at that time. Does anyone else have a Sunday school memory or a Sunday school memory of Carolyn Frost that they would like to share? If so, let me know and I will print them in the next article.
I also wanted to let everyone know that we have been having issues with Zoom this past month. We have upgraded the camera, which now has a really amazing picture, but the sound is still an issue.
Emergency repairs were done before Christmas to eliminate the buzzing but, unfortunately the equipment in the audio closet is older than ten years and manufactured by companies no longer in business.
So, the vendor was unable to retore clean audio for softer sounds like speaking, while the louder sounds like the organ sound more reasonable.

So, we will be exploring a solution to the sound on Zoom in the coming month. We have new pre-amplifiers that were installed February of 2024 for the microphones, but unfortunately the amplifier driving the speakers is completely shot and will be expensive to replace. I am looking into desktop wireless microphones that can be feed into the laptop and wireless transmission of the video signal to get the cables out of the isle in the sanctuary. John Murphy and I will also be running a cable to get the power off the floor as well. So, eventually there won’t be any cabling in the isle. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas how to improve the sound quality, please let me know.
