By the time you read this newsletter, there will be a decision about the next president of the United States. I hope there is an acceptable transition of power underway no matter who the winner of the election is, and we can say goodbye to the election anxiety that often comes with a presidential election
Sitting in my office watching the leaves change colors and begin to fall, I look forward to the transition from the cool fall-like weather into the chillier weather of winter. This also signals the time of Thanksgiving and the move into Advent on December 1st.

In the News – New Bulletin Board outside pavilion, Worship Volunteers Needed and St. Paul’s has a new banner in the Sanctuary
We had an amazing summer this year at St. Paul’s. Someone told me that pastors get to take a break and slow down over the summer, but that turned out to be incorrect for me. Instead, we had some amazing events over the summer.
The kids are returning to school (including Sunday School), the leaves are starting to turn, the temperature is getting cooler – – it must be Fall. This is a beautiful time when nature shows us the many splendid colors that are out there. And of course a time to be thankful for the many gifts that God has given us.
Happy [belated] New Year to everyone, I hope it will bring you happiness, joy, and peace throughout the year. We have a lot planned over the next couple months and would encourage you to join as often as possible. Shrove Tuesday is just around the corner with a delicious pancake dinner the popular Bible Jeopardy (I promise to have new “answers” this year), and then Ash Wednesday there next day (with a services at noon and 7 PM). And the following Wednesday’s leading up to Holy Week, there will be Soup & Salad with Pastor Jim moderating a Bible Study. On Easter Sunday we are planning the morning sunrise service (6:30 am) which may be a bit chilly given that is earlier this year! There will then be a 9:30 service followed by brunch. ~ more
