Prayers of Thankgiving
Thank you!
My son, Nicholas, is currently serving overseas in the Army. He told me that he received a package from your church and that he was overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness. I want to thank you for doing this for my son. Being overseas during the holidays will be hard for him, and your package will bring a bit of home to Nick and his fellow troops. May God bless all of you! Merry Christmas!

Thank you, thank you, to all the ladies who are responsible for making a very attractive, Prayer Shawl for me.
I feel its warmth as I sit in my favorite chair with it draped over me. I like the colors. I really appreciate the comfort you ladies brought to me. I thank all of you so very much. Your thoughtfulness is very much appreciated!
May God bless all of you!
Thank you,
Norman
I awoke early one morning with an idea. (I'm sure it was from the Holy Spirit.) I started counting on my fingers.. 25, 26, 27, 28... Jan 5. January 5! It's a Friday. That's the 12th day of Christmas. We could do it! It's still considered Christmas. We could still play Christmas music. The music the bells couldn't play at Christmas or before Christmas because it is Advent. So, I went to the bell choir to see if that would work. Because I need 100% bell ringer participation we had a choice of 3 days, Friday, Sat or Sunday. As it turned out Sunday is the day that worked for everyone. Then with the blessing of the Worship & Music committee it came to be. January 7th, 4 pm.
This little spark of an idea caught Sandy August on fire. Enthused about the idea as I was, she researched 12th night... and found it to be quite a celebration. So she said... let's make it a party. We'll invite everyone to participate and to come. And revive the favorite "potluck suppers" of old. And indeed everyone participated. The music was amazing. The dinner was amazing. The fellowship was amazing.
On behalf of Sandy and myself we'd like to thank the Lutheran Bells, Tom and the chancel choir, the youth choir, all the Sunday school children, Dave and Coming With the Clouds. And the whole congregation for singing and ringing.
Thank you to the brotherhood and Joe Dymek for setting up the parish hall and dinner. Thanks to Karen Jennings and Lynn Bassler for help with Sunday school participation. Thanks to Barbara Ball for the craft project and to Dave Riethmiller for setting up the telescopes outside.
Also thank you to Kerry Griffin for advertising the 12th Night event! And for Pastor Carolyn and Eric Domaas for their support. And a thank you to Valerie and Steve Groff for hanging their lighted star to glow in the back of the church during the event. Thanks everyone for making this little idea come to life in a big way.
From the Manger to the Star…
May the Lord Bless you wherever you are!

Thank you all for your generosity for two collections we have had in recent months. We collected for a family in our congregation who needed some assistance with unexpected medical and other expenses.
We also collected for the Caribbean Synod which will be added to donations from our Synod to help congregations in Puerto Rico with their rebuilding process.
Your generosity is far-reaching and much appreciated!
Pastor Carolyn

Our freedom to worship was a founding principle in U.S. history. This Sunday, November 11 marks the 100th anniversary of the end of "The Great War" WWI and the 99th observance of Armistice Day, which became Veterans Day in the United State in 1954. Sunday November 11 and Monday November 12 we honor member who have served in this nation's military, and we pray weekly for those currently serving. (They will be veterans on day, too.) Today, out of the U.S. adult population, less than seven percent has military experience, and less than one percent serve on active duty. Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve, and to the families who support them.

Amy Emad and Lynne Bassler would like to thank each and every Sunday School student who participated in St Paul's 2018 Christmas Pageant. We are so proud of you and you did a fantastic job! We would also like to send a special thanks to our Sunday School teachers and parents who supported our efforts. We couldn't do this without your support. Have a wonderful and blessed New Year.

April 26, 2020 Worship and Music Thank you
I would like to thank Dave Riethmiller for doing an awesome job in the technology realm with producing music videos for a couple of Sunday church services in April. (And continues to do so)
It started as an experiment with the St. Paul’s Brass+ ensemble. Each recording their own part. The Instrumentalists were:
Kurt Knoernschild, Alto Sax
Brian Knoernschild, Trumpet
Russ Werner, Trumpet
Barb Ball, French Horn
Dave Riethmiller, Euphonium
On Easter Sunday, April 12 . They played “Jesus Christ Has Risen Today.” together on the music video. This experiment was a big success!
Since then Dave has invited the choirs to record their part individually for another song…and on
April 26 all the choral parts and piano accompaniment came together through technology. Beautifully singing “Day of Arising” Thank you to the virtual choir members and their talents!
Soprano: Brittany Kovach, Rachel Ball, Hannah Ball
Alto: Sandy August, Liz Morris, Jonathan MacKrell, Emily Ohl
Bass: Russ Werner, Bill McWithey, Ken Keefer
Tenor: Mark Slater, Dave Riethmiller
Piano: Tom Leeseberg-Lange
New skills were learned for this process by the singers. I heard that it was not very easy singing harmony alone. Kudos to you all! Fantastic!
ALSO...Thank you to Tom Leeseberg-Lange for the prelude on April 26 from his Reed Organ (pump organ). In keeping with the 150th anniversary.
And thanks to everyone who is worshiping this new way. Zoom… Away we go!
